Image to ICO Converter FAQ
Answers for common favicon and ICO conversion workflows.
Can I convert an image to ICO?
Yes. QuickPix creates a real .ico file with one or more PNG-based icon sizes inside the ICO container.
Which icon sizes should I include?
For a favicon, 16x16 and 32x32 are common. Include 48x48, 64x64, 128x128, or 256x256 when desktop shortcuts or high-resolution displays need larger icons.
Does the ICO file support transparency?
Yes. PNG and WebP inputs with transparency can keep transparent areas in the generated ICO frames.
Are images uploaded to the server?
No. ICO generation runs in your browser with canvas processing.
Can I use the result as a website favicon?
Yes. Download favicon.ico and place it in your site's public root or reference it with a shortcut icon link.
